Forward Motion Theater held its 5th anniversary at Monkeytown, with a mix of some of the original VJs from old Freight days. It was a great reunion feel to the event, as the crowd was filled with a slew of NYC VJs.
I’ll post more pix, video of the night soon. In the meantime, enjoy Holly Dagger’s sexy robotic mix.

acclaimed contemporary artists. These exclusive pieces, not to be
found anywhere on the web or a CD, are presented in a collective
listening environment. LISTEN/VISION will also host occasional live
performances and multichannel sound installations.
For more information, visit volumeprojects.org and overlap.org.
The second installment of this series, LISTEN/VISION 02 will present
ew work by Gregg Kowalsky, David Kwan , i8u and CHiKA, and Sawako. (more…)

With the national debate about healthcare brewing, we don’t seem to be discussing dental insurance or health. If your mouth is in bad health, the rest of you will follow.
I have viewed dentistry as a luxury, being a freelance filmmaker and artist. But the time has come to deal with some painful and rather costly dental needs, including extraction of two wisdom teeth. (I remember the yanking out of the last two in 2003 and it scared me enough to keep me out of the chair until now).
So I am appealing to you, my fans and readers, to help me source low cost dental care, to donate to the cause of my smile, or to help me find a dentist who would be interested in barter of web/video services in exchange for dental work.
If you are interested in donating, or have any leads on the above, please email me at multo@multo.com.
Peace,
Melissa

Check another great piece from the DVD of videos I shot and edited for the fabulous Andrea Grant. Her spoken word hits you and flattens you, in a very efficient fashion. Check out more of her work at Copious Amounts Press.

Hi Peeps!
Once again, DJ Mag has opened its 2007 Top 20 VJs online polls. An international audience can now vote for their favorite VJ, which this lil’ digipixi hopes is me!
http://www.djmag.com/index.php?op=top20vj
You have to vote for 5 VJs, not just one (daring you to show your VJ knowledge). I would suggest the following fabu pixelites:
Holly Daggers - the sexiest vixen behind her dual pioneers
VJ Sputnik - We miss in him in NYC but love him still from afar
Giles Hendrix - behind his chill exterior there is so much creative and tech knowledge
Missy Galore - rainbow bright goddess of feedback
Joshua Goldberg - the brilliant academic of the VJ set - brains, programming braun and visual beauty
Daniel Vatsky - suave style and retina popping visuals
Jay Smith - Dude made the VIDITAUR - MADE IT - props…
Ben Neill - Man mixing machine with the brass section, making video as alive as his music (one of the first true DVJs/VJ musicians around)
Berkoy - so subtle and lovely
Chika - mistress mixer extraordinaire
